We employ a wide array of machines and tools for post-processing and finishing operations, which can provide machined parts with added dimensional characteristics or a more uniform finish. Common processes used in secondary operations include annealing, chamfering, drilling, slotting, or additional turning operations. If a standard lathe or other tool doesn’t provide the desired subtractive process, we can hand-build equipment such as the cross drill pictured at right. 

As with the Swiss-style machines used in our primary operations, we make all the tools or drills used in secondary operations on-site in our Branford, CT manufacturing facility. This provides more accurate and precise cutting edges for custom jobs and allows us to swap tools on the fly.
